The Spatial Mosaic groups windows by app. All inventory entries fit in one view, with more room for apps that have more windows. No scrolling or pagination.

Launch apps and reopen apps without visible windows
Look before you switch
Press Space or Command + Y for Quick Look. Inspect the selected window at a larger size, then return to the same selection or switch straight to it.
Previews that stay alive
Enable live previews to animate the selected or hovered window. Choose your preview quality in Settings. A last still frame remains when live viewing stops.

Hover over a running app in the Dock to see its windows. Find the right one without opening the full switcher.
Tabs join the picture
Search tabs in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera and Chromium. Inactive tabs get labelled entries; their parent window handles window actions.

What do I need to run Glance?
The current version of Glance requires macOS 26.3 or later. It lives in your menu bar, and you can choose to open it automatically when you log in.
How is it different from Command + Tab?
Command + Tab switches between apps. Glance brings individual windows into one visual mosaic, grouped by app, with search, previews and direct window controls. You can go straight to the document you mean.
Which browsers support tab search?
Glance supports Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera and Chromium. Tab access needs your permission in macOS. Inactive tabs appear as labelled entries rather than live screenshots.
Why does Glance ask for permissions?
Accessibility lets Glance find and manage your windows. Screen Recording enables window previews. Automation allows access to supported browser tabs and some Excel window actions. You stay in control of these permissions in macOS Settings.
Does “minimise all” really mean all windows?
The top controls act on all addressable windows currently shown in Glance. Search narrows that set; an app’s header narrows it to that app. Browser tabs share their parent window as a single target. The same scope applies to restore, maximise, tile and close. Quit is different: it quits the entire app, including windows outside your search.
Can I undo window changes?
Supported minimise and layout changes offer a short-lived Undo. Closing documents is not reversible through Glance. The website’s Reset demo button only restores the fictional sample workspace.
What should I know about Spaces and gestures?
All Spaces includes other desktops. With it off, Glance includes onscreen and minimised windows from non-hidden apps; macOS does not identify a minimised window’s original desktop. Three-finger swipe is optional and depends on your trackpad and macOS support. If it also triggers Mission Control, choose a different Mission Control gesture in Trackpad Settings.
Is this demo the native app?
This is an interactive browser illustration of Glance’s features. It only changes the sample workspace on this page. The glass effect is a web interpretation; the Mac app uses native Liquid Glass. Live motion here is illustrative, and inactive browser tabs are represented by labels rather than captured previews.
Can I buy Glance yet?
Glance 1.5.75 is available to download for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 26.3 or later. Pricing and licensing details have not been announced.
